Profile

George Baani is an experienced research consultant with over eight years of experience in practical research, project management, data analysis, data management, CAPI questionnaire design, electronic data collection, and policy analysis. He is a project manager at JMK Consulting Limited responsible for creating and managing budgets for project implementation, scheduling tasks, leading and motivating teams, monitoring data quality through Power BI dashboards, communicating with project directors/team leads, managing fieldwork-related issues, ensuring and enforcing data quality control measures, delivering projects on time and within budget and facilitate enumerator training capacity building. He has strong analytical skills, communication skills, leadership skills, problem-solving skills, time management, adaptability, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage teamwork effectively. He holds a Master of Research and Public Policy degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Adult Education. He also holds a Diploma in Youth in Development work.


Over the years, George has been a team member, managed and coordinated several quantitative and qualitative data collection assignments executed by JMK Consulting Ltd such as the GAMA-SWP Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for Ghana Water Company Ltd, Oxford Policy Management (OPM), Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR) Census for the Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection and Strengthening Accountability in Ghana Education Systems (SAGES) for CARE International.


George also has strong expertise in designing complex CAPI survey forms using Open Data Kit (ODK) and deploring them online using the following online server applications: SurveyCTO, Kobo Toolbox, Ona, etc. He was instrumental in the electronic questionnaire design for projects such as the Northern Ghana Governance Activity Project (NGGA) for CARE International, Land Administration Project 2 (LAP2) for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Transforming Teaching Education and Learning (T-TEL), Affordable Agricultural Financing for Resilient Rural Development (AAFORD) Project, Child Rights International GLCMS, MOCA baseline/endline survey and Western Region Coastal Foundation (WRCF) baseline/endline survey etc.
