The Ministry of Education rolled out different interventions to ensure learning continuity during the crisis and prepare school systems to reopen once the pandemic subsides. The Ministry engaged JMK to conduct a stakeholder survey to assess the impact and depth of learning intervention strategies rolled out and prepare parents and educational stakeholders to reopen schools starting January 2021. 

 

KEY OUTPUTS AT-A-GLANCE

In undertaking this assignment, JMK:

a) Developed methodology, sampling strategy, timeline, tools and survey implementation protocols.

b) Designed data collection forms using SurveyCTO

c) Delivered a 3-day personnel training of 178 enumerators and supervisors, including field trials of the survey instrument.

d) Conducted interviews with 700 headteachers and 659 teachers from 385 public schools and 64 basic private schools, 315 Circuit Supervisors and 188 Directors of Education.

e) Conducted interviews with 4,894 households with students from both public and private schools; and 3866 JHS and SHS students

f) Performed data quality control on the field during data collection using dashboard

g) Carried out data analysis and presentation of findings in various formats, including slide deck summaries with data visualizations, and a formal written narrative report.
