Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) collaborated with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR) in 2016 to support FBC/FBO’s capacity building, which gave way to capacity development project of FBC/FBO in the Northern, Upper East, and Upper West Regions till June 2020. The project aims to strengthen FBCs/FBOs by providing training, consultancy, networking opportunities, and financial support. JMK Consulting was engaged by KOICA to conduct the baseline against which the program performance will be measured in the targeted 21 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in 5 northern regions.

KEY OUTPUTS AT-A-GLANCE
In undertaking this assignment, JMK:
a) Reviewed both the baseline and endline data collection tools
b) Converted paper questionnaire into an electronic data capture system using ODK Collect software
c) Collected 200 quantitative data from both beneficiary and non-beneficiary co-operatives
d) Collected quantitative data from 800 households across 21 MMDAs in the 3 northern regions
e) Conducted approx. 100 interviews with officials from the Department of Agriculture, Business Advisory Center, Department of Co-operatives, NBSSI, MELR, GCC, MoFA and Credit Unions at endline.
f) Collected quantitative data from 4,910 households across 21 MMDAs in the 3 northern regions.
g) Produce baseline and endline survey reports.
